Walking the Tao – Chapter 2

Today I am looking at Chapter 2 of The Tao Te Ching. This is part of my commitment to walk through this inspiring book in a systematic manner, observing what Lao-Tzu’s wisdom means to me at this time of my life. I’m posting a short video here and on YouTube each time I work with a chapter. I’ll be doing this daily for the most part (though circumstances may affect that a bit).

Chapter 2 introduces two of the most important concepts in Taoist thought: Yin/Yang – the dance of the natural poles of life; and Wu-wei – cooperating with this dance and acting with effective ease and power. These concepts are counter-cultural and difficult to grasp, but oh so important to a graceful and joyful life.
