I’ve heard that, in a democracy, we have the leadership we deserve. I disagree. We deserve so much better, so much more. But I think that we do have the leadership we “want,” or we think we want. We have been bamboozled to think that arrogance, power, and bullshit will lead us into the future for which we long. It won’t. It is time to turn elsewhere; to quiet, “ordinary” wisdom that is actually an “extraordinary” way.
