Walking the Tao – Chapter 63

Lao-Tzu had no faith in political, economic, or social leadership as it was structured in his day. I have no faith in these structures in my day. To hold a leadership position toady requires the ability to garner votes by blaming others and by offering the simplest, no-pain solutions to a fearful public who desperately want things fixed. The burdens of the world are going to be lifted, not by our current leaders, but by the manner in which you and I spend the moments of our days.
