Walking the Tao – Chapter 27

We do not have to “carve out” a life. We do not have to blaze a trail in order to find our way through life. We naturally work, create, build, and nurture but we do not have to extract a living from the earth. We are designed to give ourselves to Life and to let it carry us where it will. We are not designed to be “takers” but “receivers.” Life is a gift that is experienced in its fullness only by devotion and surrender.
